Community Voice & Digital Strategy: Cambodian Society of Rhode Island
As the Director of Communications for the Cambodian Society of Rhode Island (CSRI), I lead the organization’s external narrative and digital presence. My work focuses on transforming community initiatives into compelling digital stories that drive engagement, preserve culture, and increase event attendance.
Strategic ImpactMulti-Channel Management: I direct all social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice that is culturally responsive and accessible to our diverse audience.
Marketing & Sponsorships: I lead comprehensive marketing efforts for our flagship events, including the Khmer New Year. This includes direct outreach to vendors and securing corporate and local sponsors to ensure program sustainability.
Youth Re-Engagement: To combat declining attendance among younger generations, I spearheaded a "Digital-First" strategy. By moving toward high-energy, short-form video content and inclusive marketing, we have successfully revitalized youth interest and increased volunteer sign-ups.
Strategic Storytelling: I bridge the gap between grassroots organizing and professional media production, utilizing my background in photography and film to amplify the voices of our community members.
