Infographics: Khmer New Year 2026

As the Director of Communications for the Cambodian Society of Rhode Island, I designed and photographed this flyer series for Khmer New Year 2026 to elevate our digital storytelling on social media. While most holiday outreach is limited to a simple greeting, we saw a need for an educational infographic component that honors the depth of our traditions.

By pairing original photography with a breakdown of the three-day celebration—from Moha Sangkran to Veareak Laeung Sak—this series serves as both a cultural resource and a celebration of the Year of the Horse. Our goal was to provide our community with a deeper understanding of the rituals that define our heritage as we move forward with energy and momentum.

Reel: Cambodian Restaurants in Rhode Island

Food is one of the most powerful ways we stay connected to our roots. As the Director of Communications for the Cambodian Society of Rhode Island, I produced and edited this short-form video to spotlight the incredible Cambodian restaurants that serve as pillars of our local community.

My goal with this project was to move beyond just a "recommendation" list and instead create a visual celebration of the flavors that sustain us. By showcasing these small businesses, we’re not just sharing a meal—we’re encouraging our community and neighbors to support the local entrepreneurs who keep our culinary heritage alive in Rhode Island. Whether you’re looking for a taste of home or a new favorite spot, these kitchens are the heart of our vibrant community.

Infographics: Khmer New Year Map

To celebrate Khmer New Year 2026, I designed a regional event roundup for the Cambodian Society of Rhode Island to connect our community across state lines. Recognizing that our celebrations span multiple temples and cities, I created a "folding map" visual to anchor the festivities happening throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

As Director of Communications, my goal was to provide a centralized resource that highlights the diverse ways our community honors the Year of the Horse

Reel: Khmer New Year Cambodian Trivia

As Director of Communications for the Cambodian Society of Rhode Island, I’m always looking for ways to make cultural education feel less like a lecture and more like a celebration. For our Khmer New Year party, I produced this intergenerational trivia reel to do exactly that—using a bit of humor and high-stakes "on-the-spot" questions to see how well our community knows their history.

My goal was to create a video that was genuinely funny and relatable, while still acting as a subtle educational tool. By capturing these candid, lighthearted moments between generations, we’re able to showcase the joy of our community in a way that feels modern and accessible. It’s proof that keeping our heritage alive doesn’t always have to be serious—sometimes, it’s about sharing a laugh while we learn together.
